THANKSGIVING BASKET AND NOT BY BREAD ALONE MISSIONS

Throughout the months of September, October, and November our team works tirelessly to raise funds and collect food items and personal care goods for these missions. The missions are much needed to help members in our community get through tough times! Whether through generous monetary donations, valuable time, or sheer muscle, your support has always made a significant impact.

 

Through these missions, in the past, we were able to provide a Thanksgiving dinner for approximately 150 families, which translates to nearly 600 people being able to enjoy a holiday meal. We are very fortunate to have folks like Pat, Kim, Chris, and a whole host of volunteers from Amicable Congregational Church, and the Tiverton Public Library make this mission a success!

Your donation of food items, gift cards, or cash would be greatly appreciated. Checks should be made payable to Amicable Church with "Thanksgiving Basket Project" in the memo line, and sent to 3736 Main Road, Tiverton, RI 02878. You may also donate online by clicking on the poster below or on the Donate button located on the bottom of this page. Please note that all contributions are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

Want to help... this is how:​

• Collect, Donate, and Dropoff at the Church BEFORE November 19th:

  • Canned vegetables: Corn, Green vegetables, etc.,

  • Stuffing

  • Gravy

  • Cranberry Sauce

  • Miscellaneous grocery items for grocery bags

  • Personal care items:

    • Sanitary items​

    • Toothpaste and brushes

    • Paper towels, Toilet Paper

    • Soap

    • Laundry Detergent

    • Cleaning items

  • Cash, Supermarket Gift Certificates, etc...​

• Time, Energy, and Muscle:​

  • We can also use your help with pickups, putting the baskets together, and distributing them from the library!

Do you need help with a Thanksgiving Meal?

• ​Baskets are limited to Tiverton and Little Compton families

• We will need your name, address, and number of people in your family

• You will need to pick up a VOUCHER at the Tiverton Public Library on Mondays from 12:00 to 2Pm and Thursday from 3pm to 5pm between October 6th and November 13th
